Overview
Provide a collaborative forum for the healthcare team to review cases, discuss findings and improve care of the patient in the ER/Trauma setting. The content frequently evolves based on treatment plans that are evidence based and compliant with state / national standards of care which seek to standardize care and improve outcomes.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Review of current standards of practice that are evidence-based, compliant with national standards of care and reflective of performance improvement in the ER setting.
  2. Analyze and apply treatment interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of care.
  3. Identify current issues, interpret best practice/standards of care and propose performance improvement opportunities to improve quality of care.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. All learners will report through the post-evaluation an increased knowledge of current standards of practice that are evidence-based, compliant with national standards of care, and reflective of performance improvement in the ER setting,
  2. All learners will be able to analyze and apply treatment interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of care as evidenced by positive reporting to the organizational performance department.

The Mississippi State Medical Association is a member of the Southern States CME Collaborative (SSCC).  North Mississippi Medical Center is accredited by the SSCC to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
