Overview
This full-day Trauma Conference brings together emergency care and trauma professionals for a dynamic, multidisciplinary educational experience focused on the latest advances in trauma and critical care. Designed for physicians, surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, EMS personnel, and allied health professionals, the program highlights evidence-based practices essential to the care of the injured patient. Through expert-led presentations, panel discussions, and interactive dialogue, participants will explore emerging innovations, evolving standards of care, and real-world challenges across the continuum of trauma care—from pre-hospital response through emergency department management and inpatient critical care. This conference fosters collaboration among disciplines and promotes shared learning to support timely, coordinated, and high-quality trauma care.

ACCME Objectives

  2. Implement evidence-based trauma management strategies, including appropriate use of new interventions, medications, and devices, in common and high-risk trauma scenarios.
  3. Following completion of the learning activity, participants will demonstrate knowledge of multidisciplinary collaboration and communication strategies in trauma care, as evaluated through NMHS' Trauma Department.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Integrate current evidence-based trauma guidelines, implement updated management strategies—including new interventions, medications, and devices—and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated, high-quality trauma care.
  2. Through the post-evaluation, learners will report how they will incorporate into practice evidence-based guidelines for the recognition, assessment, and initial management of trauma patients across pre-hospital and emergency department settings.
