This session delivers an ethics-focused, practical look at how to protect PHI, recognize the major cyber threats targeting healthcare, and apply essential cybersecurity behaviors at the point of care to keep patient information safe.

1. Identify types of PHI and apply appropriate protection practices within clinical workflows.
2. Recognize common cyber threats in healthcare and evaluate strategies to reduce cybersecurity risk.
3. Demonstrate appropriate cybersecurity behaviors by implementing individual responsibilities at the point of care.

1. By the end of the activity, participants will be able to list at least one specific strategy they can use to incorporate ethical principles into their clinical practice, as demonstrated through a written response on the post-evaluation.
