The NMHS Outcomes Conference is a multi-day, outcomes-driven CME event designed to support the professional development of healthcare providers across the region. The course emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to disease manaement, aligning with NMHS's mission to improve the health of the people in our region.

Please note: The conference agenda is a working draft. Topics and presenters are subject to change before the event.

1. Describe communication strategies to improve coordination between primary and specailty care providers.
2. Identify opportunities to reduce fragmenation in patient care across diverse healthcare settings.
3. Apply evidence-based practices to improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
4. Evaluate system-level approaches to address regional healthcare challenges and disparities.
5. Strengthen leadership and teamwork skills among healthcare professionals to support integrated care delivery.
6. Recognize the clinical indications, risks and potential for misue associated with commonly prescribed controlled substances.
7. Apply best practices for prescribing, monitoring, and documenting controlled substances to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

1. Through the post-evaluation, all learners will attest to putting into practice the most current, evidence-based prescribing practices in the management of the complex patient.
2. All learners will report through the post-evaluation an increase in knowledge related to multidisciplinary teams when caring for patients who may require care from a specialist.

 

 The Mississippi State Medical Association is a member of the Southern States CME Collaborative (SSCC).  North Mississippi Medical Center is accredited by the SSCC to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

NMMC designates this Live Activity course for a maximum of 23.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

NMMC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.  This activity has been awarded for 23.00 contact hour(s). CE#00192-EDI-2322.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to North Mississippi Health Services at cmeprogram@nmhs.net.

North Mississippi Health Services reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
