A collaborative forum for the healthcare team to review cases, discuss findings and improve care of sepsis patients. The content frequently evolves based on treatment plans that are evidence based and compliant with state / national goals/standards of care which seek to standardize care and improve outcomes.


ACCME Objectives
  1. Review current standards of practice that are evidence-based, compliant with national standards of care and reflective of performance improvement in the septic patient.
  2. Assess current issues and formulate performance improvement opportunities to improve quality of care.
  3. Apply treatment interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of care.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. All learners will report an increased knowledge of current, evidence-based standards of practice that are compliant with national standards of care and reflect performance improvement in the septic patient.
  2. All learners will improve patients' quality of care after assessing current issues and formulating performance improvement opportunities, as evidenced by positive feedback gathered by organizational performance.

Accreditation

The Mississippi State Medical Association is a member of the Southern States CME Collaborative (SSCC).  North Mississippi Medical Center is accredited by the SSCC to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

NMMC designates this Live Activity course for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
